Chick takes on Nashville

This is turning into more of a weekly blog than I intended. 

Nashville really is the perfect place to live, and I’ll attribute my busy life to not blogging enough. My only problem here is allergies and we’ll just pretend they don’t exist or take a whole bunch of Zyrtec.

I am reading Searching for God Knows What and have spent a few days at the Frothy Monkey which is a coffee shop in 12th South that I am in love with. They have some really fabulous iced coffee and it’s the perfect place to sit and read.

On the chicken side, the office has been pretty slow this week. I have been working on booking hotels for the AE’s and their upcoming summer meetings. I realized doing this how much I hate when people are poor communicators. I also realized that the majority of the population are poor communicators so I’m glad I have come to terms with this. 

Brooke and I have been watching a lot of bad television, including The Bachelorette and Pretty Little Liars. I have continued to obsess over the Casey Anthony trial and I need to get a life. 

 I am babysitting for the most amazing family this weekend. We made amazing homemade salsa last night and it’s nice to spend some time with kiddies again.

Tomorrow is ICE CREAM FRIDAY and the day we head to Atlanta! Yipee hooray. I can’t wait. 

What’s going on in your life? 

I know it’s been a few days since I’ve updated. I’m sorry :( 

I have secured a nannying position that I am very excited about. After meeting with various families I think I have found a fabulous fit. I am thankful for this opportunity.

On the chicken side, work is going very well. I LOVE everyone that I work with and I am thankful to be surrounded by such passionate and inspiriting ad men and women. I really had no idea that chicken could be discussed this often and I am amazed how much time goes into even one counter card or drive thru menu board. I have also learned a ton of acronyms for chicken. Do you know what DTMB means? I do. Maybe if you’re cool enough I’ll share! 

I’m completely in love with Nashville. I am determined to move here, there’s no question in my mind that this is where I am meant to be. I am also obsessed with the Casey Anthony trial and I think that Jose Baez is a great Pictionary player. He can be on my team.

It’s a beautiful pool day in Nashville. I’m a little under the weather so I slept in but we’re headed to the pool now! 

In other news, my first week at the agency was very nice. I have agency orientation next week where I’ll be moving from department to department and leaving my beloved chicken group. 

I have an office with a green wall, my own computer and agency e-mail address. What could a girl ask for?
